About Us

History

The Think Earth Foundation began its work in 1988 when a consortium of 20 private and public entities in Southern California concerned for the environment came together and dedicated resources to teaching children to value, preserve, and protect our natural resources. The Foundation’s first project was to develop a broad-based environmental education curriculum for elementary schools—preschool through grade six.

The Foundation’s goal, then and now, is to help educate and empower our youth—to create a more informed, aware, and environmentally responsible future generation who will “Think Earth” by balancing their own needs against those of the environment.

Board of Directors

The Think Earth Board of Directors is comprised of representatives from companies or agencies interested in and actively involved in helping the environment. Many of the represented organizations offer further educational opportunities.
